How to automatically zero out an accumulator at year end?

One of the optional Payroll end-of-year process steps was to zero out non-system maintained accumulators. The need for this step becomes unnecessary when the Zero at year end field in the accumulator record is set to Y.
Any accumulator with this field set to Y will be set to 0.00 when the Year end closing function is run.
Here is an example of a clothing allowance accumator that would be set to 0.00 after the year end process was completed:
